Thanks for looking at my work. I’m a seasoned publishing professional employed at M. Shanken Communications, where I'm responsible for the design of three publications.
I’ve been the art director of Cigar Aficionado since 1999. In that role I’m responsible for all visual aspects of the title, working directly with the executive editor and the publisher. My goal is to consistently design a men’s lifestyle magazine that lives up to the expectations of its fiercely loyal band of readers, delivering a visually rich experience in spite of limited budget and staff.
I also art direct Whisky Advocate, a consumer newsstand publication devoted to all topics whisky-related. I redesigned this title from the ground up in 2011 as part of a total rebrand/relaunch and continue to oversee its design.
Finally, I art direct Market Watch, a monthly trade publication covering the alcoholic beverage industry.
